Your Special Day

“We are so thankful to Charlotte and her assistant who photographed our wedding at Elms Barn. Throughout the whole day they were both so friendly, helpful and captured every important moment that we can now cherish forever. The aftercare from Charlotte has been of the highest standard and the final products we have received are amazing and we couldn’t have wished for anything better. Thank you once again” - Emilee & Jamie

Weddings truly are a celebration of life and we LOVE to be a part of them!

The day you have spent so much time preparing for, dreaming of and investing in, will go by so quickly which is one of the reasons to invest in a wedding photographer who can capture the unique story of your day.

Your wedding is incredibly special and expectations are high. My experience as a wedding photographer will ensure that every click of the shutter will be a moment to treasure forever.

You will look back in years to come and have unforgettable and inspired images to last a lifetime.

Our Style is candid, very relaxed and informal, we want to capture your story the way that you want it told.

What to expect

The images I create reflect both you as a couple and the whirlwind of emotions experienced by all on your wedding day.

The best way to achieve this is by getting to know you as a couple before your Wedding. This could be at your engagement portrait session or at your informal consultations over coffee.

Each gives us the chance to feel comfortable together and go through your wishes, expectations and timeline for your special day.

Our style of photography will capture the unique moments so beautifully that in years to come you can look back through your wedding day images and relive every second of your love story together.

Groom Preparation

A second photographer is included in the full day package. Whilst one of us captures the Bridal Preparations, the other photographs the Groom.

Groom prep is so much fun, with the Groomsmen struggling to tie ties, pin flowers on jackets and generally being in need of a little help. Often when photographing the Groom prep we end up helping with lots of little jobs along the way too.

Not all Grooms want to have photos of themselves getting ready, so often we will meet them at the local pub or the venue before the service. We love capturing the Groom prep alongside the Bridal prep as the Bride can then see just how her Groom's morning was, along with all the different emotions they experienced before the service (believe us they go through a lot!).

Bridal Preparation

Bridal prep is such an emotional, exciting and powerful time to photograph. Brides are feeling a mixture of emotions, along with the chosen people they have asked to help them get ready for their big day.

During Bridal prep we will photograph your dress, shoes, veil, perfume, jewellery, cards, gifts, bouquet etc... along with you and your bridesmaids final preparations.

We always recommend you are in your dress at least 20 minutes before you need to leave your room so you have time for Bridal portraits and special group shots with your Bridesmaids and parents.  With a glass of champagne to help take it all in, you can then spend that special time with your family and friends you have chosen to be with. This time is so magical- enjoy it!

The Ceremony

The ceremony is one of the most important parts of the day yet equally one of the quickest. We therefore ensure that key shots of the grounds and details are captured before the brides arrival to the venue, or from her bridal suite.

We always check with the Vicar or Registrar for any limitations beforehand. This enables us to setup in the perfect positions, usually at the either end of the room to ensure that the reactions of the Groom, guests and the Bride’s arrival are all captured perfectly.

With the service complete, we will then capture the signing of the register along with your witnesses before following your walk back down the aisle as a newly married couple.

Group Photographs

Trying to arrange large groups together (especially after champagne) can be tricky. Thats why we ensure we have a list of favoured groups well in advance of your wedding day.

Usually a month before the wedding we would invite you back to the studio to go over your final plans and also which group shots you would like captured.

We also rally a member of the Bridesmaids and a member of the Groomsmen to help shepherd the family groups together.

For family photos we can work with formal lines, use props at your venue to sit or jump off or a mixture of both for a bit of variation and fun!

Bride & Groom Portraits

Our favourite part of the day is when we whisk you away for a short while to capture beautiful portraits of you both as newly weds.

This time also allows you both your first opportunity of the day to take a breath, relax and simply enjoy each others company.

We have found that the best time to take your portraits is following the group photographs. This allows your guests just enough time to socialise and circulate with a drink or two before the wedding breakfast.

We may also take you off for some additional portraits after the meal, before your evening guests arrive. You both will feel more relaxed, nerves will have disappeared and we can take advantage of the setting sun.

The Reception

Whilst you enjoy your wedding breakfast with your guests, we nip away to a seperate room, re-charge batteries (ours and the cameras) get something to eat and start backing up your images to hard drives. This way your guests can relax and enjoy their meal without feeling concious that a photographer may snap them mid spoonful.

We keep a close eye on you both and return before the speeches begin. Catching the reactions of the head table and of your guests, which always makes for very funny and emotional moments.

Once the speeches are over we continue to capture candid shots of your family and friends through to the cutting of the cake, bouquet throw, the first dance and beyond.

Frequently asked questions

Do you edit all of our photographs? - Absolutely! Each image that you receive has been hand edited, one at a time.

Can some photos be in both black and white and colour? - We choose which selection of images are in black and white or colour based on our creative eye, however if you have a favourite that you would prefer in black and white then we can change this for you.

How long does it take to receive our photographs? - Your wedding images will be ready to view in your online gallery up to 4 weeks following your wedding day.

How far will you travel? - We will travel anywhere in the world! Although based in Beccles, Suffolk we have captured weddings further afield and abroad, should over night accommodation, air / train fares or rental cars be required, these charges would also be added to any booking.

What is the online gallery you mention? - Once all of your images are ready to view we will email you a link and your password to your online gallery. This gallery is available for 12 months. The images are perfect for sharing with friends and family and there is also an online store where prints, digital downloads and wall art can be purchased.

What are the benefits of an Engagement Portrait session? - Not everyone enjoys having their photograph taken and the thought of being in front of a camera can make you feel uneasy especially on your wedding day. Having an Engagement Portrait session allows you both to experience having your photograph taken professionally before the wedding and provides a chance to warm to us as photographers too so that come your big day you are as relaxed as can be and beaming with natural smiles. Your edited Engagement images also make for great show pieces at your wedding, welcoming guests to your venue displayed on an easel or located on the table next to your wedding cake.

Do we need to feed you at the reception? -   We always appreciate food at a wedding. This doesn’t have to be the same meal as you and your guests. Most venues offer vendor meals which can be served in an adjoining room.

If I cancel my wedding is the deposit refundable? - The deposit paid secures your wedding date exclusively and ensures no other bookings are taken by us. For this reason the deposit fee along with all monies paid are non-refundable. If however, you need to postpone and we are available for your new date, we will happily transfer any monies paid to that future date.

Do you offer any additional services? - We offer ‘save the date’ and wedding invitation design and print along with bespoke cakes and various entertainment options. Simply let us know how we can help.
